Ken Rand's TQ/Win the 1/8th E-Buggy Class

Had a great day at the Badlands R/C supercross in Myrtle beach for their Fall Brawl warmup race. I was able to tq and win the 1/8 electric buggy class with 13 competitors. Michael Webb would finish second and congrats to my brother Ryan Rand for rounding out the podium in third. There was a lot of difficult traffic but my Team associated rc8.2e buggy powered by hobbywing motor and ESC was on point. Jconcepts green compound stacker tires hooked the hard clay surface very well and consistently.

I also raced pro 1/8 nitro buggy. Most of the big dogs in the area showed up to race this class and competition was very close and competitive all day. after breaking a chassis brace in one round of qualifying i was able to repair the buggy and go out for a great last qualifier where i finished 4th overall. qual points put me 8th on the grid to start the main. Tried my best to weave through traffic on the opening laps but seemed to get the bad end of the deal and after the first lap was a half lap down or more from the leaders. Tried to keep my head on the game and was driving around in a solid 5th for a while until a few mistakes would place in 6th or 7th by the end of the 30 min main.

I want to thank my sponsors for all the support i have been receiving and I appreciate it very much! Thanks Team associated, HOBBYWING North America | FalconSEKIDO, novarossi, advantage racing products, jconcepts, and desoto racing!
