HOBBYWING at the Florida Carpet Champs

The team had a strong showing this past weekend at the Florida Carpet Champs, hosted at the world-famous Beachline R/C Raceway with a great mix of close racing, new faces, and solid results across both Modified and Spec competition.

Modified Classes

Broc Champlin continued his run of success, earning his 4th Overall Modified Championship at the event. Broc put in a clean sweep in 2WD Modified with a TQ and win, and backed it up with another TQ and P2 finish in 4WD Modified. His Schumacher rides were powered by the trusted XR10 G3 speed control and V10 G3 motor, a combo he’s used to win on every surface.

Spec Classes

In Expert Stock, Aaron Mitchell made a big impact in his first-ever trip to Beachline. He came away with a P1 and P2 overall in the two Spec divisions after tight main events and a super-pole tie-breaker. Aaron used the XR10 G3X and V10 G4R ROAR Edition to take the win in 17.5 2WD, and followed it up with 2nd Overall in 13.5 Expert 4WD—where Talon Henley also joined him on the podium.Both drivers showed great pace all weekend and highlighted how versatile and competitive the current HOBBYWING lineup is on high-grip carpet.
