Team Associated Vintage Off-road Championships took over the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, and what a show it was! This first annual event will go down as one of the most memorable RC gatherings in recent history.
Vintage RC racing has been growing fast — racers are building durable, fun, and highly competitive machines that blend modern components with classic design.
Legends, Nostalgia, and Non-Stop Racing -
Team Associated went all-in on this event, hosting a star-studded lineup of legendary drivers boasting a combined 24 World Championships! Racers from around the world battled head-to-head and door-to-door alongside the biggest names in RC history.
The track itself was a replica of the 1985 Offroad Worlds layout, bringing back the true old-school flavor of offroad racing. Industry legends — both on and off the driver stand — filled the arena, swapping stories, signing autographs, and sharing memories. The atmosphere was electric, packed with nostalgia and excitement that filled every corner of the venue.
Classes featured vehicles from the late ’70s through the late ’90s, with classic buggies and trucks tearing up a retro-style track surface. You could smell the vintage tires and feel the memories coming back.
HOBBYWING Racer Support on Site
The HOBBYWING Racer Support Nerd Zone was in full effect throughout the weekend, helping racers with everything from ESC tuning and wiring setups to troubleshooting and installation tips.

A Perfect Weekend of Racing and Fun
The event ran flawlessly, wrapping up each day in time for racers to enjoy a bit of Vegas nightlife (or, for some, a well-earned early bedtime!).
It was amazing to see so many vintage builds, rare shelf queens, and classic installs hitting the track again — and even a few first-time racers joining the fun. Welcome to the family, new nerds!
